TOUR A LEED PLATINUM BUILDING IN DETROIT!

Larry K. Lewis Education Center - WCCCD Northwest Campus, Detroit
The latest addition to the Northwest Campus is the Larry K. Lewis Education Center. The new 90,000 sq. ft. Academic Building houses 31 classrooms, computer labs, a 133 seat lecture hall, and a Media Center. The new building is slated to be a LEED Platinum building when certified. It uses geothermal heating/cooling, a "Gray" water system, solar panels for hot water and electricity and has a "Green" roof. 

Hear from the architects, engineers, contractor and owner on the LEED process. If you need CEU's, self report this tour for 1 credit! Light refreshments will be provided at this FREE event. Registration is required.

The U.S. Green Building Council Detroit Regional Chapter will be conducting elections to fill the six vacancies on the 2016-2017 Board of Directors.  Dynamic leaders in the sustainable built environment are encouraged to submit self-nominations by October 26, 2015, with voting to occur from October 28th - November 8th.
